2026 Direct School Admission - Junior Colleges (DSA-JC) Exercise for Admission to JC1 in 2027
CJC invites applications for direct admission to JC1 in 2027 from students who are outstanding in at least one area of talent/skill listed in the table below. Successful applicants may be considered for one of the 10 FLAME scholarships available to JC1 students with exceptional strengths and/or abilities in leadership and CCA.

Applicants are to focus on only one area of expertise or talent in their application.

Application Procedures
1. To apply, please register via the Online DSA Application System from
6 May to 21 August 2026.
2. The following supporting documents are to be included in the
online application:
- Sec 3 Progress Reports & End-of-Year Examination results slips or
equivalent;
- Sec 4/5 Term 1 & 2 Continual Assessment results slip or equivalent.
- Latest available NAPFA test results (Compulsory for talent areas in Sports)
- CCA & VIA records (for 2025 and 2026); and
- Personal Statement.
Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
3. Application periods for the two phases are as follows:
For DSA-JC (Phase 1)
To allow sufficient time for processing,
it is strongly recommended that all applications are submitted online by 5pm, Monday, 20 July 2026.
Applications submitted after 20 July 2026 will
be processed in Phase 2.
For DSA-JC (Phase 2)
To allow sufficient time for processing,
it is strongly recommended that all applications are submitted online by 5pm, Friday, 21 August 2026
Trial/Audition Process
For DSA-JC (Phase 1),

Short-listed applicants will be invited for in-person auditions/trials from 8 May 2026 onwards.

Students are reminded to be punctual for trials/auditions and are required to be in their Secondary School sports attire or school uniform.

Having granted a trial/audition does not mean that the DSA-JC application has been successful.
For DSA-JC (Phase 2),

Short-listed applicants will be invited for in-person auditions/trials from 21 July 2026 onwards.

Selection Process
For DSA-JC (Phase 1),

Only short-listed candidates will be invited for an interview between 18 May and 11 August 2026.

More information will be provided to the applicants by email at least one week before the interview date.

Final decision will be made by the Interview Panel after the interview.
Successful candidates will receive a Letter of Offer by 12 August 2026 via email with a FormSG link. Parents/Legal Guardians are required to accept our offer by 5 pm, Friday, 14 August 2026 via the FormSG link in the offer email.
All shortlisted applicants who have participated in the Phase 1 selection will be informed of the outcome between 28 Jul and 11 Aug 2026.
For DSA-JC (Phase 2),

Only short-listed candidates will be invited for an interview between 27 July and 7 September 2026.

More information will be provided to the applicants by email at least one week before the interview date.

Successful candidates will receive a Letter of Offer by 8 September 2026 via email with a FormSG link. Parents/Legal Guardians are required to accept our offer by 5 pm, Friday, 11 September 2026 via the FormSG link in the offer email.
All shortlisted applicants who have participated in the Phase 2 selection will be informed of the outcome between 24 Aug and 7 Sep 2026.
Important Note
Successful DSA-JC candidates will NOT be allowed to participate in the Joint Admissions Exercise. They will also NOT be allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the GCE O-Level examination results. They are expected to honour their commitment to the DSA-JC schools and to participate in activities related to the talent selected in, for the duration of the programme admitted to. Students who do not fulfill their DSA commitment without valid reason may be required to transfer out to another school.
